World Youth Day Photos

They closed down George Street for most of the week. We really enjoyed that aspect of it since we could walk in the middle of the road and take our time looking at the city. I captured most of these shots of the pilgrims from Thursday till yesterday. Some groups were very nice. Some not so very much. Many would have instruments and sing through out the city. We enjoyed the songs. The pilgrims got to walk across the bridge on Saturday. We wish we had known about it earlier so we could have become honorary pilgrims ourselves to enjoy that once in a lifetime event, but by the time we got to the entrance we had missed our opportunity. We plan to participate in the bridge run, so at least we have another chance.
