Saturday, July 5th, we took the kids to yet another Sydney Museum. And yet again we were not disappointed. The Powerhouse Museum contains displays and hands-on material of applied science and the arts. Today officially starts a school holiday which lasts three weeks. Museum activities were already planned to address this fact. The first level houses a very popular exhibit – Space. Volunteers had costumes, musical planet chairs set up, and a spooky space shadow play ready for the kids. But the one place where the kids loved the most was on Level Two – Zoe’s House, an unfinished house surrounded by tools for budding builders aged three to six years old. Mason and Morgan did not want to leave. It cost us only $25 for the whole family to visit the museum, and found out that just $75 more, we could come annual members. After seeing the construction zone, we became members on the spot. So, I’ve got another educational place to take the kids while we are here. Plus, they have a special members’ room where you can have a biscuit and juice snack – perfect for the kids. Not much excitement, just a nice family day out.
