The days have been marked off... and the bags are packed! And yes, that is our entourage of luggage! Since we are technically flying an Australian airline, Quantas, (partnered with American) we have different rules and guidelines apply to us. We will not have to pay for our bags, and each piece can weigh up to 75 pounds. A shuttle van comes to pick us up tomorrow at 9:45 AM. Since we have 12 pieces of luggage, two kids who have never been on an airplane, and one paranoid wife, we will be arriving to the airport three hours before our flight departs (1:20 PM). We arrive in LA at 3:25 PM (6:25 PM EST). We depart from LA at 10:30 PM (1:30 AM EST) with our arrival time in Sydney being Wednesday, June 18th at 6:05 AM (Tuesday at 4:05 PM EST). It's going to be an interesting flight! ;-) Thanks so much for all of your thoughts, prayers, assistance, and support during the past two months. We highly appreciate it all.
