5 PM - Are You Kidding?

After our long day at the zoo and trying to avoid paying a hefty dinner price, we decided to head out to the Westfield mall for our food. We arrived at 5:20 PM, and thought it was strange to see some business packing up. As we approached the Food Court, to our amazement everything was shutting down for the day. Only Subway and McDonald’s were still open. They are supposed to close down by then, but each had such a long line they continue with business (thank goodness). I will never take for granted again how we in the US have the convenience of shopping and/or dining just about anywhere or anytime. There is only one night where businesses stay open late – Thursday night till 8PM. Looks like that will be our family night out. ;-) PS – Found out not to say “Apple Dippers” when ordering apples with a happy meal – it’s either a “Fruit Bag” or “Apple Slices”. They look at you like your crazy. Oh – forgot to mention – most grocery stores though are open till 8PM or sometimes midnight.

Your blog is very well kept, your a good writer. You live in Australia, can you tell me about it? I'm really curious into moving to a new country outside of the USA (ignorant with a bad economy)
