Rock This Way!

With a week and a half of school under our kids’ belts, we thought us adults deserved some park time without the kids! Using the knowledge we gained from Master Jim Johnson, we set out on a quest to see how many times we could ride one of our favorite rides of all time – Areosmith’s Rockin’ Rollercoaster! Game ON! We were able to get inside the park before 9 AM, though we still had to wait until the staff removed the ropes. Somehow we managed to escape being trampled by the mob and ran to the ride. Scott ran and got fast passes while I held his place in line. Sign displayed – 10 minute wait. Not even! We were so giddy after our first time out; we ran laughing all the way back to the start. Wait time – still 10 minutes. By the third time back, a glitch had occurred in the system and three empty coasters had to pass through. The fourth time back the sign displayed 20 minutes. It wasn’t too bad, but we were spoiled after the first three runs. While running out the gift store and seeing the crowds, we decided to use our fast passes for our last rockin’ thrill ride! We rode on seats “11” and “1” twice and #3. We both agree, Seat #11 is the best! I think we could have fit one more ride in to make a total of six, but five in one hour wasn’t too bad. Dizziness had set in at this point, so it probably was a good thing that we stopped. You should always take a day to feel like a kid again. Thanks, Scott, for such an awesome date! YOU ROCK!
