I got the call Monday from Window World saying our replacement sash would be delivered and installed late Tuesday afternoon. Recalling from my previous experience with this company, I don’t trust their time frames ever. So instead of wasting time by sitting around the house, wondering when and if they would ever show up, we decided to go and see the 12:15 showing of “Up”. Yes, I know, it’s been out for awhile, but I prefer small audiences when at the theater. And there we were, the only ones in theater 18… until one minute before the movie started. I’m not joking – groups of twos and fours started piling into OUR Theater an

d I gave them dirty looks to mark our territory. Yes, I know, not very nice, but I have so many movie theater horror stories that I don’t ever want to relive, nor want my children to experience. The movie was more than I expected. If you haven’t seen it, make sure you bring a big box of tissues. Mason’s Kindergarten teacher (and fingers crossed, hopefully Morgan’s too), Ms. Heiselman, recommended seeing this flick. She plans to use it as an ongoing lesson for her class this year by using the “My Adventure Book” theme which is seen throughout this brilliant animation. I just loved it, especially Doug, the dog and Kevin, the bird and the never-ending joke of the dogs saying “squirrel”.
After the movie was over, I rushed us back to the house for our “late afternoon” time frame. It was way past lunch time and being in a hurry, my kids were shocked and happily surprised to receive milkshakes as their nutritional lunch (on top of candy during the movie). When I got home, there was no message, but I forgot to check the phone log. Today I noticed they had called around 1:30! Figures! – That was exactly when we were at the movies. So I called Window World to arrange another day and time, only to find out that the replacement window was broken. It is going to take another two weeks before it arrives. I am SO glad we did not wait around!

My Siskel and Ebert give this movie two thumbs up.
Mason says to go see it because it’s funny when the dogs keep saying “squirrel”. (See, I told you!)
Morgan says to go see it because the dogs, they have cool collars.

My mom took Corena to see "Up and Down" (as Corena calls it...because well you know, the house goes up and back down). They both loved it. Can't wait for it to come out on DVD.
