When Ms. Heiselman throws a party, the entire former students’ fam
ilies are all invited. It was a huge event full of laughter, smiles, hugs, watching out for your toes when the bowling balls dropped, moon walking (Mason could not resist the slick floors.) and conversation. Mason’s former Kindergarten classmate, Juliana, became one of our bowling buddies for the day. We were also very happy to see, Ms. Heiselman’s sister, Ms. Laura, who has recently moved to Alabama. She has been helping her sister’s classes for the past three years. Ms. Laura will be greatly missed. One thing that really stood out from the bash was seeing each child yell out their former teacher’s name and RUN to go hug her, to say how much they miss her. Thank you, Ms. Heiselman, for caring so much for ALL of your students. We hope Morgan gets to be one of yours too!
Side Note: My M & M's are like night and day, but yet are the same. Mason was fast and furious with the bowling ball. There were times I thought the ball was going to jump into the next lane. Morgan's approach was simply slow... and I mean so slow that she could bowl the ball, sit down and eat a few bites before it even hit the pins. And what were their scores - BOTH scored 129.
