Scott and I had the chance on Friday to sneak out for a nice sushi lunch while the kids were in school. I guess you could count that as our Valentine’s Day meal. The holiday is not a real big deal for us. We already have Friday days each week and date nights at least once a month, and my man spoils me on a daily basis. There is no need to do something extra special. He makes every day just that. OK – enough of the mushy stuff! After the race, we settled back home and enjoyed a perfect family day together. Sometime in the afternoon we gave our monkeys their Valentine’s Day gifts. We call Mason our “Space Monkey” and Morgan our “Cheeky Monkey” , so they each got a plush monkey of their own, some chocolate, and courtesy of Dad – two t-shirts from Baltimore that say “I’m crabby! Leave me alone!” They were so funny. They did not let go of those items all day. At night, we made a “Hot and Now” run! Well, Krispy Kreme’s donuts were not quite hot and now when we got there. They were just starting to make them which worked out perfectly for us. If you ever need some cheap entertainment for the kids, go to one and watch the machine work its magic. But I’ll have to say the best part of the day was receiving a handwritten love letter from my husband. Scott rarely writes as it is, so to have this is so precious and priceless. I can’t thank him enough. It was the best Valentine’s Day ever, My Love! Thank you! OK, OK – I promise, no more mushy stuff - really – that’s it! ;-)
