List of Things to Do Before I Go Home

  • Shop for Unique NYC Items – Check! Happened to run into a Sunday Market Place on Madison Avenue. Lost track of time and forgot to eat breakfast!

    • Go to Central Park – Check! Thankfully we managed to stop at a Dirty Water Dog stand and got a pretzel before hoping on a carriage ride.

    • Run in Central Park – Not this time… Four out of the five in our group run, so us runners actually brought our work-out gear hoping to sprint around the green. Gee, I wonder why we couldn't do it. Could it have been the 2:30 AM curfew? ;-)

    • Walk in Central Park – Check! The mall was absolutely beautiful. We could have stayed there for hours.

    • Eat at Tavern on The Green – Check! We had to say good-bye to Christy at this time. She will not go back home until tomorrow, and has plans to stay with Monika in Brooklyn… Bye, Christy! Now off to our brunch… OK, back to #3. Run in Central Park – CHECK! In order to make our reservation on time, we had to sprint.

    • Experience NYC’s Finest in Rude Treatment – Check! Our waiter fit the bill perfectly. And I’m not surprised; we had “Tourist” and “Girl’s Weekend Out” all over our faces. The restaurant itself inside and out is absolutely gorgeous! We were going to eat a light lunch outside, but since we skipped breakfast and there was a brunch waiting inside, we opted for more food! It was at this time we had to say good-bye to Amy. She was unable to get a seat on our flight, and will be leaving at 9 PM tonight. Bye, Amy!

    • Leisurely Stroll through NYC One Last Time – NOT! Our waiter took over thirty minutes to bring back our bill. We had to catch a cab in order to make it back to the hotel where another car awaited our arrival. We literally had five minutes to spare.

    • Recap with great friends about our adventure – Check!

    • Board plane – Check!

    • Arrive safe and sound in Orlando – Check!

    • Hubby and kids waiting to take us all home – Check!

    • Thank you, my lovely ladies, for such a wonderful trip. I am looking forward to our next one… did I hear someone say Boston?! And another very special thank you to my awesome husband… without you, none of this could have been possible. Thanks for understanding firsthand how bad I needed a break with the girls!
