I happened to find a preppy little tie for my preppy little guy from the Children’s Place today. One of Mason’s many goals in life is to have a tie collection. When he got a glimpse of the new article of clothing, he immediately wanted to try it on with his “Daddy Outfit”. (I think that is why he loves ties and jackets so much.) And who would of thought that a simple preppy little tie would raise my eyebrow and have me add to the things to do list: #17. Buy Mason a new sports jacket… and some dress shirts. It never ceases to amaze me how fast our children grow up. It is so bitter sweet to see the change - so proud of their progression, but so sad, so heartfelt to see them get older. You begin recalling the past and missing it... or at least parts of it! (And after looking at the photo: #18. Take Mason to get his hair cut!)

This is one of my favorite blog entries of yours. You are so right...we rejoice that our kids are strong and healthy and growing and learning, but yet we feel so sad with each passing milestone.
(PS - I love the shaggy hair. It's summer!)
