Living in Orlando is a blessing and a curse. We have access to some of the best shopping, theme parks and restaurants ever which in turn attracts thousands of people to our little corner of the world. With holidays (especially in summer), the numbers grow even larger, and we tend to stay in the safety of our own home. Yet this year the curse of crowds actually turned into one great big fantastic advantage! My Aunt Jeanette and Uncle Dean decided to have their family gathering at the World Quest Resorts right around the corner from the Mouse House. That’s just a 20 minute drive for us Womack’s’. We were much honored to be a part of this holiday get-together, and to have the ability to visit with cousins I rarely see. It was a very fun and relaxing day of sun, rain, more sun, swimming, food, and Rock Band! It was the first time our crew had played that game, and we are hooked. (Thanks, Craig, for bringing it!) Once dusk began to fall, those without little ones piled into the car to gaze upon Disney’s Fourth of July fireworks. The rest of us spent time (and patience) lighting up sparklers and throwing down pop-ems. All but Morgan enjoyed making shapes and writing their names in the night sky. We thoroughly enjoyed what would have been quite a boring day at the house. Thank you, Dean and Jeanette, for the invite! It was so much fun to visit with you and your crew!
