Monday was spent shopping, saying good-byes and making the three hour journey to Memphis. Today we visit THE Blingdom Kingdom – Graceland. Thankfully I had been prepared by Scott and several friends of what to expect of the city and the size of Mr. Presley’s home. What I was not prepared for were the large masses of cantankerous elderly people willing to step on and over anyone (and that includes children) to get a glimpse of everything Elvis. And I thought I was the only one there that day crossing off another item off the bucket list. Some seemed desperate they would not complete all the exhibits before the day was over. It was funny, yet sad to watch. M & M got a lesson in music appreciation 101 as we enlightened them about The King of Rock n Roll. Mason started channeling Elvis the minute we got there. Between the outdoor speaker music and concert videos in every room, our son soaked it all in. Morgan too loved the music, and was quite smitten by th

e rock star. Every time she would see his photo or cut-out, a shy, fawning little girl would emerge. I have to say the best parts of the Presley Palace were The Lisa Marie, The Jungle Room and seeing the collection of rhinestone-covered jumpsuits. Mason begged for us to buy him a replica one WITH cape. Unfortunately they only had adult sizes, yet I plan to surf the web to find one.

TCB...in a flash. If I come across a little kids' rhinestone jumpsuit, I'll be sure to let you guys know.
