The Womack Family in DC

Since Scott has to work the week of Thanksgiving and the kids have the entire week off, we like to take the opportunity to have some quality family time together by tagging along to Scott's latest job site. This week it is Washington DC. When we told Mason and Morgan where we were going Mason's first words were: "Do they speak English?" Morgan's were: "How long is the plane ride?" We assured them it would be a short flight and English would be spoken. ;-) The flights went pretty well. Morgan got tickled on one of the landings. The tires skidded and Morgan started giggling... and then said, "Mommy, the tires tooted!" (And yes, I did laugh! But did explain what had really happened.)

This morning Scott had to go to work, and I took the kids on a tour of DC. Our first stop - Engraving and Printing. I wasn't sure how they were going to enjoy this tour, but they were very interested. Mason was intrigued with the lobby benches. They were also amazed at the huge stack of money totaling one million dollars.

Our next stop was the American Indian Muesum where we witnessed Haiwian dancers performing. Our last stop for the day - The Capital Building.

We missed getting the free tickets for today's tour, but enjoyed taking photos... well, at least I did. The kids at this point were asking when we would return back to our new home. The best part of the day though was when Scott came back from work!
