Salmon – The New Turkey

For the second year in a row Salmon has won out over turkey. Both years at different restaurants, they have had a buffet style meal with salmon as a choice. I don’t know why we are drawn to the fish instead of the fowl, but it’s definitely a nice change. The kids enjoyed a variety of same colored foods – corn, mac and cheese, butter with bread of the side, and chicken nuggets. We asked each other what we were thankful for, and the kids decided to show it instead of say it. Hugs and kisses to everyone. I was so thankful to spend not just Thanksgiving, but the entire week as a family. Memories to cherish for sure. As we were waiting for Scott to pay, a two member “band” (piano and clarinet) played lively music. If you know our kids, that is an invitation to dance. And that they did! The rest of the day was spent together watching TV and playing. It was a great day.
