Last night on the news one of the titles for their broadcast was “Cranky Yanks”. They were reporting how the USA swimming team is getting the “Rock Star” treatment in China while the Australian team had to defend themselves with the press as they arrived at the Beijing airport. The US team was whisked away from any media coverage or interviews. The news coverage proceeded to show how the Aussies have improved in the past three Olympic Games with increased medals. Of course we were chuckling because even though they did increase their wins, the USA still had the most medals by a land slide. It is going to be interesting to watch the Olympics here. I’ll probably have to go online to see how America does, that’s if China lets any news out.
