Happy Trails

This has been the first weekend where nothing, and I mean NOTHING has been planned! Nor were we going to go out of our way to make plans. This Memorial Day weekend's goal - Quality Family Time! The word for the weekend - RELAX! And that we have had the privilege of doing. We had the unexpected pleasure of two activities opening up for us as a family. The kids' golf coach invited the entire family for a free hour long golf lesson. I never knew it could be so relaxing to hit golf balls... and am now hooked on the sport. And then one of Morgan's baton coaches', Miss Michele, had an opening for M & M to take their very first horse riding lesson. It was an amazing time, and look forward to continuing those lessons, not with just the kids, but for Scott and I as well. I never really grew up around animals which has led me to feel uneasy around them at times. That is one thing I don't want our children to experience. I want them to feel comfortable around animals, but a healthy respect for them too. Though it was the first time in my life that I felt very relaxed around horses. Miss Michele's four legged bunch were so friendly and lovable. We all fell in love with Hannah, Prince, Delila, Apache and Mac. They even have a comedic duo - Wilbur and Chester, the donkeys! It was pure fun! We hope that everyone is enjoying a wonderful weekend together as well. If it wasn't for our armed forces, the men and women who have fought and died for us, for our country.... None of this would be possible!
