Today is the first Thanksgiving in two years where all of us have been together. Due to Scott’s job, the kids and I travel with him during the holiday week. With changes in his work schedule, the Womack’s were able to join my parents and siblings for a festive, traditional Rowlson Turkey Day. I know this year’s event also brings special joy to my parents. It was one year ago today when my mom and dad were forced to work the holiday season at the boy’s ranch. So having all of their children and grandchildren at their own home, on THE actual thanksgiving day was, I’m guessing, an answer to prayer. Matthew was not able to arrive until 1:30, so our holiday feast of turkey, gravy, corn soufflé, sweet potato casserole, broccoli casserole, stuffing, cranberry sauce and rolls did not commence until after 2. The cousins were so content with the boys playing Wii all day long, and the girls elbow deep in play dough and crayons. I enjoyed catching up with my siblings and mom over one of my favorite holiday desserts, Pumpkin Cheesecake (Thank you, Christy!). Before we knew it, the day slipped by and it was time to make the track back to Orlando. Somehow I managed to only snap a few shots before the feast and nothing else… Now how I forgot to take photos when I had my camera is beyond me, but thankfully my dad and sister happened to snap a few photos of the rest of the day. (I really need more memory in this brain of mine!)
