Same Turkey Time, Same Turkey Place

I literally turned off the video camera after Mason’s class performance and ran straight for the car in order to get home to warm the turkey for Morgan’s class Thanksgiving Feast. Ms. Heiselman created a wonderful cornucopia of sights through a slide show of the students past activities, sounds of excited children dampening the vocals of Dean Martin singing in the background and smells of mouth-watering traditional Thanksgiving foods. Each student was sporting the latest 1620’s fashion craze on their heads while displaying their hard work of thankful books, turkey center pieces and an Indian head dress photo. It was so hard to believe I was sitting there with Morgan. Just two years earlier I was in the same classroom, doing the same thing, but with Mason. It really hit home how fast our children are growing up. I am so thankful to share special moments like this with each child, and will cherish them always.
