What NOT to do in Wyoming

Do not leave Cheyenne without stopping by the Union-Pacific Train Depot and Nelson’s Cowboy Museum of the West. The upstairs hands-on museum in the train depot is a must for families with elementary school children.

Do not drive without music or someone who won’t stop talking. It is prairie land, and you will get sleepy while you drive.

Do not think large quantities of caffeinated beverages will prevent you from being drowsy while driving. It will only slow you down with numerous bathroom breaks.

Do not miss stopping by to see Devil’s Tower, our country’s first national monument. (Thank you, President Theodore Roosevelt!) It truly is a national treasure, and a perfect site to land alien spacecraft.

Do not forget your bathing suit while driving through the state. Most Fairfield Inns have water-slide parks attached to their establishment.

And the most important thing NOT to do in Wyoming…

Do NOT take your eyes off the speedometer! Those long open roads along the range will mess with your mind and before you know it a state trooper will be in your rear-view mirror. I (NOT Scott) speak from experience!
