Yanking My Chain

Well, three weeks sure did fly by real fast. Thankfully I was not as nervous as before regarding Dr. Marris yanking my chain, but was a bit concerned about how it might feel. (I still have the heavy duty meds left over from surgery just in case!) Once they removed the thread holding the chain to my braces, she cut the excessive links and attached a clear rubber band through it to insure stability. I could feel the “pulling” sensation and was beginning to feel very anxious for her to stop. They she says, “OK, Are you ready to begin?” Thank goodness I was already lying back in the chair or I think I would have dropped to the floor! “To begin?” - I quickly said, “I thought you had already started!” Oh but no… she was still just preparing the chain for the big pull. She instructed me to say when it was too much. It was hard not to laugh… it already did! I think she got maybe a turn or two before I mumbled very loudly “WHEN”. I have six more weeks till the next medieval torture session. I think I just might take some Motrin about an hour before I go next time.
