Another reason why we will not bring the kids with us to a Disney Marathon weekend until they themselves participate in one is because even though I had just ran/walked for 6 hours and 26 minutes, they were ready to go hit the parks. Mom needed food and rest – FAST! By the time we returned to the hotel room, it was 1:30 PM. Scott quickly ran out to the Pop Century’s on-site restaurant for take-out while I spent time cleaning up, stretching and resting. After finally finding something for the kids to watch on TV, the adults took the opportunity to relax. With two hours of taking it easy, we then took the kids to EPCOT. It was highly important for me to keep moving to ensure a speedy recovery. What an incredible night too! The weather was just perfect. Only a five minute wait to ride Mission Space one of Mason’s favorite rides. Scott asked me what I wanted for dinner. All I could think of was protein – and lots of it. We tried to eat at the Canadian steak house, but it was booked. Totally forgot about making reservation, especially with at least thousands of possible runners still on Disney grounds. Fish and chips won out due to its convenience and location. Our ambiance was supplied by the radiant moon casting a warm glow off of Mexico’s Aztec temple. We came back to our hotel around 6:30 where we ran into Melanie and her crew by the pool. Her kids were enjoying a nice swim. My cousin was doing remarkable well for such a rough day. Once back at the hotel, Scott had to say his good-byes. Due to flying out very early the next morning, it was necessary for him to sleep at the house. It was so sad to see him leave. After he left, I popped quite a few Motrin and had lights out by 9 PM!
