Normally we are in Brandon for our traditional meal, but now we have the chance to start our own. For those of you who know me, cooking is not my forte. Nuking food is the only specialty I have. Yet in spite of this, we managed to have a pretty decent meal. With Florida as my inspiration, our plates held the new Christmas meal – crab cakes, courtesy of Costco. The meal definitely lacked color as the sides blended into the plate, but it was not too bad. Now if you know Mason, then you know we did have a bit of persuading and coaxing ahead of us, but he did actually eat everything on his plate. I will have to say sitting down with the entire family, each of us having the same exact food on our plates, and without the distraction of the TV – was one of my best Christmas presents ever!
