It has been way too long since my last blog entry. Boy, have I missed writing. Last time I was on here, football season was starting and life as The Womack's knew it was ending. Simply put we were going at warp speed with no time for rest. Halfway through the season, I did manage to get a break, but not the kind I wanted. Long story short, I broke my right arm. I bet you're thinking things started to slow down after that. Oh how I wish that was true! We actually picked up more after school activities as well as keeping up with the demands of the new photography business. Homework increased and so did the hours spent helping my 3rd grader after school. Add in physical therapy for the arm, holidays and numerous sleepless nights of editing photos, and well - you've got a recipe for burn out.
And so I have found myself desperately seeking to slow things down, reassess my life and rediscover what is important. So many little things can take over in your life, and next thing you know you're consumed by it all. I thought a great way to try to get back on track and off of the rat race pace was to do something I thought I could never do... deactivate my facebook account. It is a temporary thing because I do feel that facebook is a positive and crucial way to stay in touch with friends and family, but this "little thing" can also take away valuable time and focus. If you think I'm crazy, just hear my out. Here's a couple things that happened on Day One of no facebook: 1. Normally I'm looking through fb while in the morning car loop line, but instead actually cleaned the inside of my car. 2. I BAKED blueberry granola bars!!! Last time I baked was almost a year ago. And what am I doing on Day 13 - Blogging for the first time in six months!!!
So hopefully I'm back on track and using my "breaks" to mend back my life. Here's to finding a better and slower life pace!

Three things: (1) I will miss you on Facebook, but I understand. (2) I am so so SO glad if you get back into blogging (I miss reading about the Womack Adventures!), and (3) I want that blueberry granola bar recipe.
And an extra: (4) I am still praying against jealousy over your photography skills. You got mad skills lady.
I'm sorry to hear about your arm. Hope it's all healed up, or at least you're well on your way to healing.
